**JOB DESCRIPTION**

We are looking for a Brand Strategist to join our growing and dynamic team

You need to be more than a solitary copywriter, you need to be a visionary and strategist, too

You will work independently, lead and control all functions related to the public image of the company.

Your primary role is creative writing, editing and developing strategic brand messaging, ensuring that all writing is clear and consistent and the voice is company specific.

Previous experience in the logistics space will be favorable.

**POSITION OVERVIEW**

The focus will be on the company, but you should be able to write in different brand voices and for varied formats. You must be highly proficient, creative and knowledgeable in the English language/grammar and have strong attention to detail, with exceptional research and fact gathering skills, you will be handling the entire social and public image of the company.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Ownership of the complete public image of the company
- Complete social media management
- Creative writing for (but not limited to):

- Scripting
- Brand messaging
- Internal communications
- PR/Interviews
- Presentations/Slide decks
- Proofing/editing
- Maintains superior file management and organizational methodology, following department guidelines

**IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS**
- BS/BA in a discipline related to Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or Journalism with previous in agency PR experience. MUST HAVE PREVIOUSLY WORKED WITHIN AN AGENCY.
- Current established media contacts/ relationships
- Media database knowledge and general media research experience

**REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**

High proficiency in:

- Creative writing
- Scripting
- Copy editing/Proofing
- Highly creative and imaginative with an understanding of storytelling best practices
- Ability to work under pressure/time constraints
- Strong attention to detail
- An interest in popular culture as well as new advertising trends and techniques
- Strong client service, self-motivation and time management skills
- Must be an effective project leader, a clear communicator and consensus builder, highly organized, and able to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: R45,000.00 per month
