The Associate will work actively on all aspects of valuations, structuring, negotiation, financing and concluding of all transactions, as well as in the monitoring and managing of existing portfolio companies, including but not limited to the following:
**Origination** of investment opportunities
- Conduct research into opportunities and ad hoc analysis to support origination function;
- Build technically sound and robust models and design appropriate transaction structures.

**Execution** of transactions
- Preparation of Investment reports and other deal related materials;
- Present viable opportunities for consideration by internal transaction approval forums;
- Review and finalization of legal agreements
- Lead involvement in business diligence on pursued deals;
- Support negotiations with counterparties and manage external advisers.

**Post Investment **Management
- Support the CEO on boards of portfolio companies;
- Lead in executing all required tasks and responsibilities with portfolio companies

**Other**
- Contribution to administration and franchise building activities;
- 3 - 4 years experience in an investing environment and a proven deal management and/or portfolio management track record;
- Superior financial modelling and analytical skills;
- Competence in accounting, tax and regulatory aspects of deal structuring;
- Full appreciation of corporate governance and requirements of the Companies Act
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Be a self-starter who is suited to an entrepreneurial environment.
