Also block machines, roof tile machines, and steel roof rolling machines. The business includes a fully equipped workshop, an engineering and maintenance division, spare parts department, woodwork workshop, and a finance department. The company operates in a dynamic environment, importing products from countries like China and provides after-sales services to clients and dealers. **Position Summary** The General Manager (GM) will be responsible for the overall management and operational leadership of the company. The GM will ensure the efficient functioning of all departments, including Sales, Marketing, Finance, After-Sales, Engineering, Workshop, Procurement, and Human Resources. This role requires strong business acumen, leadership, and financial management capabilities. Daily reporting to the CEO will be a key part of the role, with an emphasis on progress updates, issue resolution, and strategic planning. **Key Responsibilities** - **Operational Management**: - Oversee daily operations across all departments including Sales, Marketing, Workshop, Spare Parts, After-Sales, and Engineering. - Coordinate and liaise with the Sales and Marketing Manager on sales strategies, branding, digital marketing, and customer outreach. - Ensure the workshop and engineering departments meet production, repair, and manufacturing goals, particularly in the development of "Egg Layer" block machines and skidboards. - **Financial Oversight**: - Supervise the Finance department, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. - Work closely with the Buying department on product procurement, including cost analysis and demand forecasting for imported products. - Provide regular financial updates to the CEO, highlighting profitability, cost control measures, and growth opportunities. - **Strategic Planning**: - Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction. - Collaborate with department heads to set performance targets, track progress, and implement corrective actions when necessary. - **Team Leadership and Development**: - Lead and motivate department managers, including those in Workshop, After-Sales, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and HR. - Foster a culture of continuous improvement, employee development, and customer-focused service. - Ensure effective communication and collaboration across all levels of the organization. - **Client and Dealer Relations**: - Oversee the After-Sales department, ensuring timely resolution of customer and dealer issues. - Engage with key clients and dealers to build and maintain strong relationships, ensuring satisfaction with the company’s products and services. - **Human Resources and Administration**: - Oversee HR operations, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with labor regulations. - Manage disciplinary actions when necessary, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. - **Procurement and Supply Chain**: - Supervise the Buying department, ensuring efficient procurement of products from international suppliers, primarily from China. - Assist with product cost analysis, supply chain management, and quality control of imported goods. - **Marketing and Branding**: - Provide input into the marketing department’s strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives. - Oversee all branding activities and digital marketing efforts to enhance the company’s presence in the market. - **Reporting**: - Provide regular updates to the CEO on the performance of all departments, identifying challenges and proposing solutions. - Prepare and present reports on key performance indicators, business performance, and strategic initiatives. **Qualifications** - Honours degree or Masters degree in Business or related fields. - Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior management role, ideally within the equipment importation, manufacturing, or heavy machinery sectors. - Strong financial management skills with a proven track record in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control. - Extensive experience in operations management, including workshop and engineering oversight. - Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop cross-functional teams. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Experience in international procurement, supply chain management, and vendor relations, especially with suppliers from China. - Familiarity with marketing and branding strategies, particularly in digital and social media. **Key Competencies** - Strategic thinking and decision-making. - Strong leadership and team-building abilities. - Financial acumen and analytical skills.
