_Job Summary:_

The Electrical Team Leader is responsible for overseeing and managing electrical projects on construction sites. This role involves leading a team of qualified and unqualified individuals, ensuring that all electrical work is completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards of quality.
- Prerequisites:_
- Minimum of 5 (five) years experience in the Electrical Contracting Industry
- Minimum of 2 (two) years experience with Retail and Restaurant Shopfitting
- Minimum of 1 (one) year experience in a supervisory role
- Elconop 3 card (Elconop 2 might also be accepted depending on experience)
- Driver’s Licence (critical requirement) and the confidence and skill to drive a company bakkie
- Physical fitness to maintain the pace and manual labour associated with this position
- In possession of the necessary tools and the knowledge of how to use them correctly

- Leader Responsibilities:_
- Team Management: Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of qualified and unqualified individuals.
- Project Coordination: Plan and coordinate electrical installations and maintenance activities on construction sites.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all electrical work complies with industry standards, regulations, and project specifications.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and support to team members, troubleshooting, and resolving electrical issues.
- Resource Management: Manage materials, tools, and equipment required for electrical projects.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit progress reports, project updates, and documentation as required.
- Client Interaction: Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
- Transport: Ensure that all team members are on site on time using the most efficient methods and logístical options.
- Practical Duties:_
- Installing, wiring, and assembling main and sub-main distribution boards and inverter systems.
- Installation and maintenance of domestic, commercial, and industrial installations (tubing, wiring, and cables) from incoming mains to completed final circuits.
- Wiring and connection of all circuits in domestic, commercial, industrial installations (wiring and connection of all types of lights, socket outlet circuits, stoves, hot water cylinders, pumps, air conditioning circuits, and industrial machines, etc)
- Installation, maintenance, and repairs of single and three phase motor and started circuits.
- Testing of installations under the direct supervision of a registered person.
- Connection of transformers and ancillary circuits (such as CT’s PT’s low voltage lighting etc.)
- Performing the work of an Elconop2, Elconop 1, Electrical assistant, and General assistant.
- Assisting of colleagues in the performance of their work when working in a team.
- Training of Elconop 3, Elconop 2, Elconop 1, Electrical assistant, and General assistant colleagues to the point where they’re able to assist you efficiently.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary
Contract length: 4 months

Pay: R86,62 - R96,75 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
