Signal Hill Products is looking for Team Leader (Sales) Position/Title: Team Leader (Sales) Reports To: District Manager Function: Sales Area: South Africa **“ Signal Hill Products has multiple Team Leader vacancies across South Africa “** Overall Responsibility: The Team Leader is tasked with new business in the region, as well as maintaining and growing existing relationships and accounts. Weekly Call Cycles needs to be established to maximise the time spent in the trade by the Team Leader, as well as by the sales team reporting to the Team Leader. The role focusses on the full spectrum of on-consumption, corporate retailers, franchise outlets and independent liquor chains. The Team Leader should be able to operate with the team in any Channel and Segment, and needs to manage and guide the sales team to successfully achieve their volume targets an other KPI's, while remaining within the approved budget at all times and supporting the Company's goals and values. Focus Area 1- Sales Function - Manage a portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term success - Compile daily / weekly reports to assist and guide the Sales Team - Manage sales and administration - Keep the Sales team motivated to achieve KPI's and live the Company values - Account Reviews done with top customers within customer base - Handle customer and consumer complaints and queries with a sense of urgency Focus Area 2- Sales Execution - Ensure On Time in Full Implementation of campaigns - Develop promotional activity to drive consistent pull in relation to the channel management process - Influence liquor retail pricing within segments - Maintain stock levels within segments - Manage the relevant Sales and Merchandising partners to ensure overall success - Using Commercial conversations/arguments/calculations to influenceInfluence the placement of our products to maintain the best cold and ambient space - Coach the Sales team on "what good looks like" and success factors to achieve their KPI's - Monitor sales metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts) Focus Area 3- Relationship Management - Develop great business relationships - Manage the relationship with the relevant Sales and Merchandising Partners to ensure overall success - Respond with a sense of urgency to problems escalated to employee's level; - Maintain customer call rate and frequency Focus Area 4- Team Interfaces - Establish a good working relationship with team members and department contacts in order to maintain and continuously strive to improve the level of overall service being provided; - Ensure quality of all written and verbal communication by reviewing issues and content with supervisor prior to distribution or call - Assist with performing quality review of services being provided and department interactions by escalating work flow and communication issues to management staff to help identify trends indicating the need to revise existing methods and procedures; Requirements of the Role: - Post Matric Qualification in Sales/Marketing - A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Sales/Marketing in a FMCG environment - Valid unendorsed Code 8 drivers license - Great knowledge of PC and Microsoft office - Third party Merchandising & Sales management experience strongly preferred - Regional languages competence - Beverage industry experience strongly preferred Preferred Skills/Competencies: - Sound interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships - Team management skills (prior team management is preferred) - Ability to work independently - Time management skills - Persuasiveness and selling ability - Strong achievement orientation - Beer knowledge and processes - Exceptional verbal ability and communication skills - Problem Solving Ability - Commercial Acumen NB: Specific duties/responsibilities will vary from time to time: the above list is intended to indicate the general nature of the post and is not exhaustive. The post holder will be expected to be flexible in supporting the business by undertaking any other responsibilities which are aligned with this job level. **Salary**: From R7.00 per month Ability to commute/relocate: - Cape Town, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred) **Experience**: - sales/marketing: 3 years (preferred)
