Exclusive boutique hotel in Stellenbosch is seeking to employ a Reservations Supervisor who will ensure the smooth and efficient operations in the department through prompt, effective and proper reservations service to achieve maximum room revenue in order to meet or exceed the revenue target.

Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Having knowledge of entire reservation procedure according to the International hotel manual system
- Responsible for all hotel reservations
- Reviewing reservations booked daily
- Responsible for training staff
- Responsible for implementation of policies and procedures
- Responsible for recording company and travel agent rates both in a system and correspondence files
- Liaising with the general manager in regards to occupancy and rates reservation's analysis
- Knowledgeable in hotel and guestroom facilities/services and ensuring reservation agents are equally knowledgeable
- Monitoring telephone manner and general performance of reservations staff daily
- Ensuring special handling of repeats guest and very VIPs
- Observing and ensuring that proper telephone manners are maintained at all times
- Monitors and coordinates group reservations
- Following up on tentative bookings and updating reservation status
- Reviewing no-shows, cancelling reservations and processing charges according to hotel’s policy
- Managing of group reservations
- Responsible for maintaining a Neat and Orderly position at all times
- In general, performing any other duties requested by front office and the operations manager

Experience and education required:

- Minimum 3 years experience as reservation supervisor or assistant manager on a reputed hotel.
- Graduation from an accredited educational institution in an appropriate curriculum and considerable experience related to this class of work including some supervisory experience, or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
