**Requirements**:

- Grade 12 qualification
- Minimum 12 months experience of GDS systems (preferably Amadeus)
- Up to date knowledge / awareness of ABTA / IATA requirements
- Experience of Supervising/Managing Teams
- Previous experience in an IATA ticketing environment
- Up to date knowledge of the low-cost air market
- Strong Customer Service background (preferably Telephone Based experienced)
- Strong influencing and team building skills
- Travel Industry experience
- Ability to work to high levels of accuracy
- Highly organised with the ability to work to deadlines
- IT Literate with knowledge and experience of MS products (Word, Excel, Outlook, internet)
- Commercial and Financial awareness
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience of the group air market
- Geographical awareness

**Duties will include but not limited to**:

- Ensuring flight requests from internal customers are processed within agreed timeframes and service levels.
- Collaborating with the Senior Air Consultant within the UK in the distribution of work within South Africa to meet internal customer needs and SLA turnaround times
- Working with our internal customers to resolve any problems to groups either before travel and during periods of disruption (including on a rota basis outside of normal working hours)
- Ensuring all deadlines relating to actions required on bookings are met
- Resolve any instances where flight bookings are inconsistent with Tour costings & support the Sales and Operations teams to identify appropriate solutions
- Ensure internal systems are updated accurately with details of all flight reservations
- Support the Air Consultants in both UK and SA in resolving any issues involving the flight based elements of tours.
- Supporting the Travel Manager and Senior Air Consultant in managing the workloads effectively within the Air team
- Maintain up to date knowledge of all elements of the air market & highlight to the Travel manager / Group Head of Procurement, Transport & Accommodation any business opportunities / threats as appropriate
- Interpreting and co-ordinating airline booking information via Amadeus (queue management)
- Contributing to the effective delivery of air services to the Company and effective customer service delivery in line with the organisation’s Vision Goal and Priorities
- Contribute to improvements to processes and procedures by identifying and communicating ideas and solutions that will have a positive impact on our internal and external customers
- Provide out of hours support to the business, on a rota basis, to ensure the successful resolution of operational disruption
- Report to the Travel Manager concerning any day-to-day progress and issues within the SA based team
- Identifying areas for training within the SA team and our internal customers where required
- Support the coaching and development of less experienced team members
- Building relationships with internal customers and external suppliers
- Provide support to other team members where appropriate within the wider business
- Participate in any activities or projects on a temporary or ad hoc basis to support business aims and objectives Role may require some occasional travel to visit suppliers and other offices within the HB Education group.
- This role requires the post holder to participate in an out of hours “on call” rota to support customers during periods of travel disruption
