FARO is Africa’s fastest-growing fashion company, and this is just the beginning. The Role As a Location Planner, you’ll be at the helm of shaping FARO’s store footprint. This role combines strategic impact with deep analytical insight: you’ll support new store openings, optimize current store performance, and ensure every FARO location maximizes its potential. You will work closely with Retail Operations, Planning, and Buying teams to build and execute strategies that ensure the right products are in the right stores, at the right time. Key Responsibilities New Store Planning - Develop location-specific strategies and assortment plans to ensure readiness for new store launches. - Collaborate with Distribution Centre (DC) and Retail Operations to deliver seamless store openings. Trading & Store Performance - Analyze store KPIs and lead discussions to maximize sales, clearance, and space utilization. - Partner on in-season sales reforecasting and convert sales plans into actionable inventory plans. - Track and report on variances, driving timely interventions. Seasonal Planning & Analysis - Conduct post-season reviews to capture key trade insights and inform future decisions. - Build pre-season strategies grounded in historical performance and growth opportunities. Assortment & Profiling - Create store profiles and assortment strategies aligned to local demand and store requirements. - Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure assortments reflect strategic intent. Inventory & Allocation - Optimize inventory allocation across stores to balance stock levels and demand. - Act on performance deviations to keep stores on track. What We’re Looking For - Education: University degree or diploma in a quantitative, business, or supply chain - related field. - Experience: 2-3 years in location planning, retail planning, or related analytical role within a retail environment. - Technical: Advanced Excel proficiency and experience with ERP systems. - Skills & Competencies: ○ Strong commercial acumen and sound decision-making skills. ○ Excellent organizational and planning capability. ○ Effective communicator and collaborative team player. ○ Ability to thrive in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
