Junior Facilities Technician

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform routine **building maintenance** tasks, including **plumbing, electrical, and general repairs**.
- Oversee **housekeeping** and ensure cleanliness standards are met.
- Conduct **health and safety inspections** to ensure compliance with workplace regulations.
- Source and liaise with **suppliers and service providers** for maintenance needs.
- Ensure **compliance with SLAs** related to facility management.
- Perform **basic troubleshooting** for electrical and electronic equipment.
- Drive company vehicles when necessary for **deliveries, inspections, or site visits**.
- Maintain facility **inventory and stock levels** for repairs and maintenance.
- Report and document any **facility issues, hazards, or repairs needed**.

**Requirements**:
Matric Certificate or equivalent
Minimum **2-3 years** of experience in **facilities maintenance, plumbing, or electrical work**
Knowledge of **Health & Safety compliance** and workplace safety regulations
Strong ability to **source suppliers** and negotiate pricing
Valid **driver’s license** and willingness to travel when required
Basic understanding of **SLA management and compliance**
Hands-on, **proactive approach** with problem-solving skills
Ability to **work independently** and within a team
Good communication and reporting skills

**Preferred Skills (Advantageous but not mandatory)**:

- Technical qualification in **electrical, plumbing, or building maintenance**:

- Fire safety and first aid certification
- Experience in a **corporate or hospitality** facilities management environment
