**Job purpose**:

- The purpose of the Business Integration Manager role is to manage the integration and operational execution of strategic change programmes within the department, to assist with strategic change frameworks for the book of change within the department and to have an oversight of budgets of strategic business projects.
- The role consolidates a long-term view of the strategic change initiatives planned within the department and determines the impact that various concurrent changes might have on successfully embedding the change. The Business Integration Manager will achieve success by managing change at a group/organisational and a business unit level so that maximum benefits are realised, resistance to change is mitigated and there is a faster rate of adoption. The role will build strategic change capacity and capability by supporting and guiding Business Leaders through strategic implementations and alignment to relevant frameworks, practices, policies, and processes.
- This role is integral to the internal business change strategy, providing insights to the timing and impact of the various strategic business projects.
- Responsible for systems process analysis, design and simulation. Conducts mapping sessions with business units to facilitate process enhancement and change in terms of business strategies. Has good understanding of organisation's business systems. Focus is on process analysis and re-engineering, with an understanding of business and technical problems and solutions as they relate to the current and future business environments. Facilitates quality improvement interventions and makes recommendations. Ensures communication with all stakeholders in respect of changes to business systems and processes.

**Key outcomes**:
**The following outcomes will be expected to be achieved by the Business Integration Manager**:

- Ensuring a portfolio view of all strategic initiatives across the department, highlighting the impact of these on employees, as well as the associated timing of impacts.
- Leading the organisational design required to enable the successful implementation of concurrently running strategic initiatives.
- Liaising with the relevant stakeholders to understand the possible impact of the strategic changes, recommending the most appropriate framework and supporting tools to be used.
- Developing roadmaps in collaboration with relevant stakeholders to ensure buy in as well as to ensure a structured approach is followed to minimise the impact the strategic projects may have on the business, employees, customers and other important stakeholders.
- Analyse the departmental business growth strategy and identify suitable initiatives and solutions to align and realise the strategic intent.
- Partnering with the relevant stakeholders to ensure readiness of the business for implementation of the portfolio of strategic projects.
- Defining success metrics for strategic change activities and monitoring and reporting on these for all identified projects or programmes ensuring that a structured methodology / process is followed.
- Ensuring that tools are in place to track the level of adoption of change.
- Providing reporting and other updates to management and project teams.
- Drive innovation initiatives and investigations to find suitable alternatives to business challenges.
- Ensuring there is alignment between the Company Retail Affluent and departmental strategies.
- Assist in developing Business Cases and Benefit Realisation Plans where required.
- Continuous engagement and collaboration across all parties affected by the various strategic projects.
- Change management support, support in the preparation and implementation of strategic initiatives.

**Qualifications and experience**:

- Relevant post graduate degree, preferably business related.
- MBA or equivalent qualification will be advantageous.
- Experience in Financial Services.
- Experience in Mergers and Acquisitions and Strategic Project implementations will be advantageous.
- 8 - 10 years’ experience in relevant field.
