Grain Quality, Hygiene, and Pest Control Specialist

To manage grain quality, ensuring sufficient good-quality maize is available for the maize mills to manufacture quality products efficiently. Additionally, ensure all mills adhere to strict hygiene and pest control standards.

**Minimum requirements**
- Grade 12
- Maize Grading Certificate
- PCO certificate
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in maize grading, hygiene, and pest control management in a food manufacturing environment

**Key Performance Areas**

**Maize Stock Levels and Quality**:

- Manage stock levels and ensure minimum stock levels are maintained.
- Compile weekly stock and quality reports.
- Engage with silos to ensure maize quality requirements are met.
- Handle disputes and manage non-conformances.

**Pest Control**:

- Implement and update the Integrated Pest Management Program (IPMP).
- Plan and follow up on treatment schedules.
- Conduct inspections and audits, and compile reports.

**Hygiene**:

- Ensure compliance with hygiene standards.
- Conduct monthly hygiene inspections and follow up on actions.
- Continuous Improvement:

- Stay updated on new pest control technologies.
- Attend relevant meetings and audits.

**Training**:
Develop and conduct training on grading, pest control, and hygiene.
