**_ Position Purpose:_**
Lead the Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP) processes within Transnet Property (TP)
**_ Position outputs:_**
Oversee the SWP processes within TP through the following:
Understand the high level strategic and operational intents and direction of the TP;
Conduct the supply analysis for TP;
Ensure that the demand drivers are used to forecast human capital requirements;
Conduct the demand simulation to generate heat maps that are clearly indicate skills gaps and/or surpluses in the workforce

Identify prioritised gaps and lead the development of People Management (PM) initiatives that takes a short, medium and
long-term view as aligned to organizational needs and goals
Ensure the objectives set for the organisational strategies are articulated in the most efficient and effective manner as
required by the business
Interpreting data accurately to identify and define current and forecasted workforce needs, ensuring alignment with business
strategy and principles
Ensure that the relevant SWP tools are updated, functional, reliable and valid for the operations being simulated.
Partner with the Group Strategic Workforce Planning to enable, monitor and evaluate effective implementation of the SWP
methodology within TP;
Propose any relevant adjustments, modifications and adaptations as part of embedding this process
Continuously monitor the implementation of PM Measures/interventions
Ensure compliance with approved SWP Policy, Standard Operating Procedures and processes
Ensure alignment of the SWP Policy and initiatives to the business strategy and the achievement of business objectives
Implementation of the current and approved SWP Policies, procedures, processes, methods and practices
Align budget and SWP schedules to ensure consistent processes that complement each other for accurate resource planning
Provide a link between relevant stakeholders involved in determining the Core, Priority and Scare skills clustering as a critical
input into strategic workforce planning process
Facilitate sign off for the rules applied in Strategic Workforce Planning such as clustering and exchangeability
Document demand assumptions and rationale for the chosen demand scenario in accordance with the SWP Policy and
control framework
Ensure up-to-date information is maintained on the system and is used as input into the supply simulation
Ensure that the correct parameters are in relation to supply simulation are signed off prior to conducting supply analysis
Check input factors for the demand simulation for completeness and correctness
Conduct the demand simulation to produce heat maps
Generate, analyse and model demand scenarios to choose the most viable and strategically sound scenario
Analyse heat maps, conducting risk analyses and interpreting data to identify priority gaps
Identify, plan for and communicate prioritised gaps through concisely designed HR Measures
Monitor and evaluate planned HR initiatives
Prepare and present SWP monthly, quarterly and annual status reports
Participate in relevant committees, for a, structures and bodies responsible for SWP
Ensure effective record keeping in line with set standards, norms and practices
Conduct research to determine trends in the workforce planning discipline (both internal and external) and advancing relevant
recommendations that will contribute to enhancements
Lead, control, plan, monitor and evaluate activities and PM Initiatives that are critical to ensure the SWP objectives are met in
line with business objectives
Serve as a Change agent with reference to the embedding and entrenching a culture of using Strategic Workforce Planning
methodology, tools, practices, policies and standard operating procedures in any human capital forecasting exercise
**_ Qualifications & Experience:_**
- Degree/National Diploma in Finance, Business Management, Economics or Analytics or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years SWP working experience of which 2 years of professional Human Resources experience especially
