**HSE Head - Mining - Namibia**
Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to join their organization as the HSE Head. As the HSE Head, you will lead and oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of their health, safety, and environmental programs. Your expertise and leadership will play a vital role in ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for employees, while minimizing environmental impact.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- The Head HSE is responsible to develop, implement, maintain and lead HSE management programmes and systems.
- H/She will be overall responsible to provide HSE and risk consultancy service to Project Managers / Leads to ensure effective and efficient HSE and legal compliance across the project site.
- H/She will manage the risk statistical administration service and the risk management systems, as well as direct and coordinate the department's financial and budget activities.
**Experience and Qualifications**:
- Relevant tertiary qualification (or equivalent) e.g. degree in Safety, Health, Environment, or Quality Management.
- Minimum of 8 years general experience in Safety, Health or Environment and Quality Management, with minimum of 3 years experience at management level in a mining / construction / projects environment.
- Solid knowledge of applicable Namibian legislation.
- Driver’s licence.
**Salary**: Market Related
