- **Sales**:
- Drive a collaborative process with Brand executive team to development a strategic roadmap for the brand’s international growth
- Take ownership and responsibility for execution of the strategy
- Development long-term relationships in relevant markets and ongoing evaluation of the international sales network
- Compilation of sales budget and allocation of stock
- Communication with outlets to determine sales targets
- Communication with distribution agents internationally to increase international distribution and premiumisation
- Responsible for development of annual International Revenue and Expense budgets, operating profit (P&L)
- Establishing sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; and projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products
- Maintaining sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors
- Establishing and adjusting selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand.
- **Promotions**:
- Compilation and execution of promotional plans with business associates and the media
- Development of promotional material for international markets
- Supervision of the execution of all in-market promotional activities (partnering with regional agents/partners)
- Participation at relevant international wine shows
- Liaison with winemaker/s in participation of local and international promotional activities.
- **General Management**:
- Compilation monthly management report
- Review and analysis of market macro and industry trends to identify and plan for opportunities and threats
- Handling all administrative tasks applicable to the role and objectives.
- **Commercial**:
- Efficient management of operational budget to maximise return on international investment
- Ensure beneficial commercial agreements/contracts with partners, with clear performance objectives, metrics and evaluation processes
**Qualifications**:
- 3-year tertiary qualification in marketing or business would be ideal
- 5-8 years’ experience in an international sales environment in the wine industry,
- Excellent communication skills at senior levels
- Knowledge of the wine industry
- Commercial acumen
- Understanding of marketing principles and practices
- Ability to negotiate and influence others
- Fluent in English. Additional languages would be advantageous
- No restrictions on ability to travel frequently (clear criminal record)
