We are currently seeking an Inbound FIT Series Reservations Consultant to join our team. The Inbound FIT Series Reservations Consultant is responsible for successfully planning and designing travel experiences, and handling FIT Series and FIT bookings from quoting to finalizing, invoicing, and travel documentation.

The position is based at our offices in Westville, Durban.

**The key responsibilities for this position are**:
**FIT Series bookings**:

- Update bookings
- Load bookings into the Reservations system accurately and timely.
- Release bookings when the final release is sent before arrival.
- Book and confirm day tours when requested by the customers.
- Invoice bookings.
- Conduct written and telephonic reconfirmation of services.
- Quote and invoice on any extensions and pre-tours.
- Check availability.
- Quote the customer on suitable alternatives if the requested product is unavailable.
- Cancel bookings timeously.
- Conduct quality checks on all bookings.
- Check services daily.

**FIT bookings**:

- Plan, design, and prepare travel itineraries, providing travel advice and recommendations to the customer where possible to enhance the guest experience.
- Deliver on all aspects of the customer's request and meet their delivery expectations.
- Quote the most appropriate products and services, meeting the price expectation of the customer.
- Offer alternatives, cross-sell, and up-sell where possible.
- Convert quotes into bookings.
- Source and secure alternatives if any challenges arise.
- Conduct availability checks, book all accommodation and services, and reconfirm all bookings.
- Manage the release dates of services booked.
- Resolve any on-the-ground incidents or challenges.
- Manage customer accounts and resolve account queries within set deadlines.
- Quality Control of bookings.

**Requirements**:
**Qualification**:

- Grade 12
- A Travel and Tourism qualification is highly recommended

**Core skills and experience required**:

- Experience in quoting, consulting, and operating within an Inbound FIT Series/FIT environment.
- Good understanding and working knowledge of working with travel booking systems
- Product, destination, and logístical knowledge of South and Southern Africa
- Excellent Microsoft Office Computer Skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Can deal effectively with high volumes/pressure whilst paying attention to every detail
- Someone who is customer service orientated and focused on the customer experience - always understanding and considering the customers' expectations and requirements
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Can maintain quick turnaround times and can effectively prioritize work and manage their time.
- Are highly adaptable, and resilient and enjoy working in a changing and dynamic environment
- Is resourceful, solutions-driven, and can resolve challenges
