**Overview** - As a Measurement Sciences (MS) Specialist, the role will ensure that the Analytical aspects of legacy ingredient specification update is reviewed and approved. May also support new ingredient specification development, as capacity allows, to ensure they comply with the standards and requirements from a MS standpoint. **Responsibilities**- MS Specialist / Reviewer for ingredient Specifications.- Learn, understand and uphold the PepsiCo Global Ingredient Standard and Supplier Standard, and become proficient in the PepsiCo systems/IT Applications associated to spec writing.- Conduct gap analysis of legacy specifications against PepsiCo Global Ingredient Standards. Drive gap closure with/through function team members in test method alignments.- Support the Specification Writer on providing guidance to supplier in completing the Analytical requirements of the specification in the following key areas: - Application scope of the test methods, e.g., products, matrix, etc.- Ingredient Composition- All Chemical, physical and other parameter requirement.- Claims/Compliance related to Analytical parameters- Allergen- Test method and limit of Analytical parameters- Other Spec General information- Review the Analytical information and requirements for the ingredients to ensure they are met, identify gaps and request further information and connect with Specification Writer to resolve this with the supplier and work with other Functional SMEs (i.e. Food Safety, Regulatory, QA) as needed for guidance and escalation.- Support the Spec Writer to align stakeholders (i.e. QC, GP) on updates/changes on Analytical requirements on the specs.- Validate correct migration of data to the Specification system, includes review of the Analytical parameters and test methods and other related information and supporting documents/evidence collected from the supplier **Qualifications**- - Intermediate to advanced understanding of Quality Assurance/ Food Safety concepts and good working knowledge of food microbiology.- 2-3 years hands-on Analytical lab testing with basic understanding on international test methods (i.e., ISO) and experience on Lab certifications is desired.- Well-versed on Microsoft Office Suite.- - Confident and able to speak or present to senior leaders when needed.- High Learning agility, self-motivated and has desire for continuous self-improvement.- Team player and works well with cross-functional, cross-regional and cross-cultural teams.- Can work independently and has initiative for problem solving. **“PepsiCo is an Equal Opportunity Employer in line with the Employment Equity Act"
