We are seeking a dedicated and experienced **Maintenance Manager** to ensure our facilities are maintained to the highest standards. The Maintenance Manager plays a vital role in maintaining the functionality, safety, and aesthetics of the property, contributing directly to the guest experience and the operational efficiency of the hotel or resort. You will oversee all maintenance activities, lead a team of maintenance staff, and collaborate with other departments to resolve maintenance issues swiftly and effectively.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee and manage all maintenance activities to ensure the property is fully operational, safe, and maintained to luxury standards.
- Lead and mentor the maintenance team, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth daily operations and long-term project success.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify maintenance needs, address safety concerns, and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure maintenance issues are resolved quickly and efficiently, with mínimal disruption to guest experiences.
- Manage supplier relationships, including negotiating contracts and ensuring quality service delivery.
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment, machinery, and facilities.
- Develop and manage budgets for maintenance activities, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining quality.
- Lead or participate in maintenance-related projects, including renovations, refurbishments, and upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including **OHAS** standards.
- Utilize architectural drawings, layouts, and technical specifications to guide maintenance and renovation activities.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- **Grade 12/Matric Certificate** (essential).
- **Tertiary Qualification** in Maintenance Management (preferred but not essential).
- **Project Management Qualification** (preferred).
- **OHAS Qualification** (advantageous).
- Minimum of **3-5 years’ experience** in a similar position.
- Experience in **Project Management** or supervisory roles (essential).
- Previous experience in the **hospitality sector** (advantageous).
- Demonstrated ability to mentor staff and manage supplier relationships.
- Extensive technical, practical, and leadership experience in maintenance and projects.
- Experience managing a **multi-disciplinary team** and overseeing site and facilities maintenance.
- Sound knowledge of **architectural drawings** and layouts, **OHAS** regulations, and related acts (advantageous).
