Our client has an EE opportunity available for an Artisan
- Instrumentation Technician based in Mbombela.

**Requirements**:

- N3 or Matric with Mathematics and Science.
- National Diploma in Electrical Engineering light current or Process Instrumentation.
- Qualified Instrumentation Artisan Trade Certification.
- 3 to 4 years’ experience as an instrumentation technician.
- Post qualification in a heavy industrial environment.
- Advanced computer literacy.
- Advanced PLC programming.
- SCADA programming.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Willing to travel when necessary.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prioritise and perform the job as per the detailed Task List.
- Provide feedback to the Maintenance Supervisor on any task where there is a difference between the task instruction and the job requirements.
- Provide feedback and recommendations on short comings, defects and further maintenance required to restore equipment to original safe operating condition.
- Investigate and diagnose problems and breakdowns.
- Conduct risk assessment before proceeding with maintenance activities.
- Carry out repairs, maintenance and preventative maintenance work on equipment.
- Monitor the efficiency of maintained equipment and machinery.
- Identify improvement possibilities and give feedback to the departmental foreman.
- Develop PLC programs and attend to changes.
- Develop SCADA mimic pages.
- Maintain a clean working environment.
- Keep company vehicle and company property clean.
