MAIN PURPOSE

To provide technical specialised support on department products

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Management

  • Existing products config management to latest spec – PBS
  • Quality req. – NCR's, ECR, TB, WI, BOM updates - Coordinating of this
  • Coordinate or assist with testing of FW – ATP's (Alpha/Beta)
  • Coordinate or assist with testing of Hardware – ATP's (Alpha/Beta
  • Assists with technical training where required
  • Carrying out ad-hoc audits on area product support & site files
  • Where requested, assist with technical matters for support and projects
  • Coordinate or assist with customer product trials/POC's

Product Marketing

  • Assist with customer presentations where required
  • Assist sales force with product training and/or customer interface meetings where required
  • Sound understanding of product solutions and roadmap of product evolution by understanding exactly why and how the solution is solving the client problem

Administration

  • Schedule daily time to answer or create necessary e-mails
  • Create time for document reviews
  • Create time for typical HR related weekly's – Prompt petrol claims, leave expenses etc.
  • Prompt liaising with customers through emails or phone calls where required

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Matric and Trade diploma or similar qualification
  • Senior Technician Internal
  • Internal – Four years' experience on related BU product lines and evaluated on a technical level of competency (completed all internal training).
  • External – Trade diploma relevant to electric, electronic and instrumentation or equivalent (Technicon Diploma S4) with two years qualified experience.
