Manager: Digital Services Projects

**Core, essential responsibilities**:
Strategy Development and Implementation
- Provide reports and analysis to support and contribute to the development of the sub[1]functional digital strategy in line with the overarching business goals
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting to enable the regular review of the sub-functional strategy, roadmap, and performance to ensure its alignment with the changing dynamics of the internal and external ecosystem
Operational Delivery
- Execute the release/launch of digital services products and services into the market
- through project initiation and management
- Support the product marketing efforts/strategies and campaigns to promote the full suite
- of Groups digital products and services
- Ensure the Digital team is represented in all relevant new projects with an impact on the Digital platform
- Act as gatekeeper within the Digital team about new developments, to fully understand the viability of the proposed developments, and to vet viable projects
- Ensure agile way of work environment is set up and followed with the use of online digital collaboration tools
- Create home-grown scripts to facilitate ad-hoc testing and act as a quality coach for the scrum team.
- Oversee the Design and implementation of test cases, execution of tests using automation framework and validation of test results to ensure the product meets quality guidelines
- Investigate and understand stakeholder requirements and needs
- Drive the approach to development or coding where required
- Follow up on and respond to all queries and requests, however, ensure all developments are viable before accepting new projects, to ensure that the channel best interests are always put first
- Support accurate and timely product and category reporting using dynamic project dashboards or similar methods
- Consider local conditions, as well as competitor activity and provide constant updated competitor analysis and insights around Product Development
- Ensure the implementation of agreed requirements are successful and all aspects within the scope of the project are accounted for.
- Support the monitoring and tracking of digital products and services'' project performance after launch. Liaise with Opco to collate reports and compile statistics and insights on product performance, working towards a near real time tracking capability, with weekly and monthly reporting periods
- Regularly evaluate, analyse, and review digital product performance and drive corrective Changes
- Work with the Insights as well as critical stakeholders in the business to develop new and update existing Digital value propositions, product bundles, and promotions for consumers
- Work with Opcos to define traditional digital services targets and ensure digital performance meets targets and is monitored against competition
- Support in the preparation of digital services project business cases, frameworks, and models for the function
- Drive project processes and timelines within Digital to amend variances in the project and ensure that projects stay on track
- Review digital services project progress reports on projects against set timelines and targets, and reports pertaining to process and output for management
- Ensure that all functional and Group policies and procedures are followed
- Support the enablement (including and not restricted to platform, solutions, processes, Customer journeys, discovery) scoping for the entire digital services portfolio
- Support the integration of business requirements and network enablers to establish solutions for consumers and business partners on the various platforms, working towards an end-to-end platform solution
- Support the establishment of systems and sound practices to comply with digital services project best practices, legislation or other regulations and guidelines around digital services and partnerships
- Develop, implement, and fine-tune methods, processes, and systems to enhance effectiveness and meet organisational goals
- Support partnership selection and management framework (selection criteria, how to partner, who services, performance management, ways of engaging, monitoring) and ensure effective execution towards contribution to Digital Services objectives
- Keep informed about new technology to provide best fit solutions & project implementation methods
Guidance and Support Delivery Management
- Review the gaps in the newly developed features.
- Review and manage performance and security testing strategies and tools of products.
- Oversee software development using Java or JavaScript, and software and quality engineering. Work on front end (FE) and back end (BE) automation frameworks, including Selenium, Webdriver, Protractor or TestNG. Ensure the use of online collaboration tools is adopted for a more work efficiency.
- Familiarity and advocacy of tools such as confluence, Kanban, Jira, Trello is exercised.
