DRIVER TESTER

Brief description

The position of driver tester consists of testing from code 8 to code 14 super link trucks. Correctness of registers, completing documentation of yard and road tests performed ARE CRUCIAL to ensure standards are always of the same level and quality.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure the area of testing is always safe for all people involved. Cones to be correctly placed
- Utilise PPE equipment provided when working and ensure the vehicle/truck is always left clean and all safety actions taken before and after testing.
- Communicate clear instructions to the drivers to be tested
- Perform all areas of testing as per ILS created documents
- Ensure pre-employment questions are done with every driver before testing startsPractice safe driving habits
- Maintain vehicle equipment; replace oil, fill gas tank, perform general truck maintenance as needed for safety
- Clean windows, windshields, and mirrors as needed
- Complete documentation such as driver registers, in yard and road test reports
- Communicate results to ILS admin after testing
- Post results on group created for this purpose on whatsapp
- Submit reports to identified admin person as soon as done

Qualifications and requirements
- TETA Accreditation.
- Be a driver with the correct license and PDP of what vehicle/truck driver is tested for
- Have at least 2 years’ experience in the correct process to test drivers
- Understand the importance of “HIGH LEVEL OF QUALITY REQUIRED” to perform testing
- Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, actively look for ways to help people, and adjust actions concerning others' actions.
- Presentable and professional in working with any level of people
- Communicating in English and at least 1 other official language crucial Competencies (in order of importance)
- Dependability — Job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable in fulfilling obligations.
- Attention to Detail — Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing tasks.

Full time Monday to Friday and weekends in emergency circumstances.
