Zeitz Ocular Junior Operations Manager
The **Junior Operations Coordinator** will assist in the day-to-day operations of the venue, ensuring smooth execution of events, managing staff scheduling, and upholding service standards. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for the events and hospitality industry.
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Assist in coordinating event bookings by liaising with Project Managers and clients to finalise requirements.
- Support the execution of high-quality client service and operational standards.
- Ensure the venue and facilities are clean, organized, and event-ready.
- Work closely with the Operations Manager and Director to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
- Handle on-the-day staff management for events, including after-hours and weekends.
- Assist with scheduling staff and ensuring adequate coverage for events.
- Manage venue site visits and assist in building client relationships.
- Oversee catering logistics and ensure vendor requirements are met.
- Communicate and enforce all venue regulations and protocols.
- Maintain inventory levels of supplies and equipment, coordinating with vendors as needed.
- Generate operational reports and identify areas for improvement.
**Requirements**:
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Knowledge of the events and hospitality industry is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and administrative software (e.g., Xero, iOS systems).
- A minimum of **1-2 years’ experience** in the events or hospitality industry preferred.
**Qualifications**:
- A qualification in **events management, hospitality, or a related field** is preferred.
**To apply**:
Pay: R18 000,00 - R20 000,00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Cape Town, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
**Education**:
- Diploma (required)
**Experience**:
- Hospitality or Events: 1 year (required)
- Management: 1 year (required)
