**Lead Lecture Venue AV Technician (Grade 15)**

**Information and Technology Services**

**Main Objectives**

To lead the lecture venue AV refurbishments and day to day operations. This requires an above average knowledge of AV and its use within a teaching and learning environment as well as technical aspects of a network of the same size and complexity as the Rhodes network. To change strategy, communicate strategy and manage the roll out of the strategy and refurbishments in central lecture venues, as well as participate proactively in discussions with Teaching & Learning, Lecture Venue Committee and Facilities Division.

**The Requirements**

A relevant NQF level 6 plus approximately 6 years relevant experience where such experience includes:
- At least three years in an IT or AV environment in a teaching and learning environment of similar complexity/scale to Rhodes
- At least two years supervising staff
- At least two years project management experience
- At least one year experience specifically in AV

**Remuneration per annum (Grade 15)**:
Basic Pensionable Salary per annum: R657 592

Cost to Company per annum (Approximately): R853 569
