**What you will do as a Leading Market Director Climate Resilience**

As Leading Market Director Climate Resilience, you are responsible for the growth of commercial sales of climate resilience services in SSA. You will develop the business development strategy regarding the climate resilience market to promote our high-end consultancy services which are often enhanced with smart, digital ways of working. A quick uptake and good understanding of our digital services & data driven solutions is therefore key. Geographically, a focus is given to South Africa and Mozambique which are home countries. Knowledge of clients, markets and trends is required to strategize business direction and develop business plans. On a daily basis, you will expand and nurture the client and partner network by developing long-term relationships, create positive exposure in the market and advise on (future) capability needs. This will contribute to position Royal HaskoningDHV for current and future opportunities in the climate resilience sector within SSA and ensure a well-filled pipeline of qualified and unqualified opportunities for business continuity and sustainable growth is created and sustained. You manage and organise leads and proposal processes which requires close collaboration with Business Lines Water & Maritime. You ensure that climate resilience proposals meet client and Royal HaskoningDHV ambitions and expectations. In addition, you will be the Regional Account Manager for the World Bank, working together with our Global Account Manager. In this role, you can take the role as Project Director or domain Specialist on climate resilience spending about 20% of your time on projects.

Specifically, your responsibilities are:
**Strategy and account Management**
- Develop, execute and manage the business development plan for climate resilience in Africa and ensure realisation in-line with the overall company strategy
- Collaborate for synergies across business lines and country borders
- Ensure up-to-date market knowledge using diverse internal and external sources
- Build, maintain and utilise a network of internal and external stakeholders / partners within the water sector and represent Royal HaskoningDHV
- Maintain business development administration that is accessible using Royal HaskoningDHV CRM system
- Initiate and maintain relations with potential and existing clients/accounts, monitor developments and performance of accounts

**Get work processes**
- Create, recommend and convert business opportunities into contracts
- Analyse commercial developments and business needs, generate actionable insights and define commercial and innovation opportunities
- Give insight that enhances commercial decision-making
- Work actively with other business developers across Southern Africa on agreed areas of opportunity and jointly signal new developments
- Raise brand awareness in the relevant sectors within the relevant markets

**Proposals and Projects**
- Prepare or lead preparation of, proposals.
- Negotiate and finalise satisfactory commercial/contractual terms and conditions.
- Manage and lead projects throughout the complete project life cycle
- Take charge of all internal project controls: e.g. planning, cost control, project administration and contract management
- Take overall responsibility for project deliverables to the client meeting expectations for budget, quality and programme
