**Purpose of Role**:
Are you a dynamic storyteller with a passion for impactful communication? AGGP_SA is on a mission to reduce poverty in South Africa by transforming the entrepreneurship ecosystem and we are looking for a Media and Communication Specialist who can bring this mission to life through powerful storytelling, sharp media engagement, and strategic content that reaches and resonates with diverse audiences. As the Media and Communication Specialist, you will play a critical role in executing and supporting communication strategies that elevate AGGP_SA’s brand, visibility, and thought leadership. You will work closely with the Head of Strategic Communication and Convening and internal teams.

**Objectives of Role**:
**Media Management**:

- Drive media strategies and plans that strengthen our reputation.
- Manage digital content (blogs, press releases, social media, podcasts, and webinars).
- Oversee social media channels with a focus on engagement, alignment, and impact.
- Monitor media coverage and sector trends, offering insights to inform strategy.
- Sustain strong relationships with key media stakeholders.

**Strategic Communication & Execution**:

- Support the development and execution of communication strategies that reinforce AGGP_SA’s thought leadership and impact.
- Conduct sector communication analysis, generating insights on audience engagement trends.
- Implement processes for identifying key messages and creating targeted content for various stakeholders.
- Execute strategies for optimal use of traditional and digital media platforms to enhance AGGP_SA’s reach.
- Work closely with internal teams to craft consistent messaging and brand positioning in line with AGGP_SA’s strategic objectives.
- Support cross-functional collaboration to ensure effective dissemination of research findings, impact evidence, and strategic insights through appropriate communication channels.

**Internal Communication**:

- Implement internal communication initiatives to foster engagement and transparency across the organisation.
- Develop and manage internal messaging frameworks, ensuring alignment with AGGP_SA’s organisational culture and strategic direction.
- Lead the production of internal communication materials, including newsletters, reports, and knowledge-sharing content.

**Brand & Risk Management**:

- Implement brand risk management measures to ensure consistent representation of AGGP_SA.
- Monitor brand perception, recommending interventions to address potential risks and reputational challenges.

**Financial Management**:

- Execute within communication budgets, optimising resources across campaigns and media engagements.

**Analysis and Reporting**:

- Implement brand risk management measures to ensure consistent representation of AGGP_SA.
- Monitor brand perception, recommending interventions to address potential risks and reputational challenges.
- Participate in institutional structures as required and on invitation or direction by line manager and/or CEO.

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- Honours Degree / Post Graduate Diploma NQF level 8
- Up to 8 years proven experience
