An opportunity exists for an exceptional **Piano Teacher** (paid by parents) on a **part-time basis** to start **as soon as possible** at the Girls Prep School.

**Duties (not an exhausti**ve list)**:

- Teach individual Piano lessons to beginners and advanced pupils
- Teach the international ABRSM /Trinity College London and exam syllabus from Grade 1 to Grade 6 level
- Teach Music Theory
- Teach lessons online should the need arise
- Undertake administrative tasks, applicable to students
- Teach according to the St Peter's Prep Schools Best Practice pedagogy

**Required Qualifications and Experience**:

- Relevant music degree, licentiate or higher-level qualification in piano
- Minimum of 3 years' piano teaching
- Proficiency in another instrument would be advantageous
- A clear love of music which they enthusiastically share with their students
- A willingness to perform with ensemble groups within the department at special occasions
- Have an extensive knowledge of suitable repertoire and teaching methodologies
- Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- Be a dynamic team player
- A willingness to support and mentor, and to be mentored
- Prepared to work according to the school’s ethos, specification and policies
