**Location**:Stellenbosch/remotely
**Reporting Line**: Human Resources Manager
**Background**:
Peace Parks is a non-profit conservation organisation that specialises in the development of
Transfrontier Conservation Areas (TFCAs) and the long-term management of key protected areas within these landscapes. We currently focus on the development of four priority TFCAs throughout southern Africa and the co-management of nine national parks and protected areas covering over 3.5 million hectares within a TFCA landscape of over 650,000km2. In addition to protected area management, Peace Parks also focusses on landscape and natural resource-based community development initiatives.
**Job Purpose**:
Perform a variety of personnel-related administrative tasks and will be focused on delivering and maintaining administrative effectiveness within the HR section.
**Role Accountabilities**:
- Provide administrative support to all HR functions
- Work closely and in partnership with the HR Manager and HR Practitioner to provide effective process, practice and systems
- Deliver a positive employee experience
- Interact with staff and management in order to respond to HR related enquiries or requests
- Able to handle sensitive information confidentially
**Role Requirements**:
- HR related qualification or studying towards an HR qualification
- Minimum 3 years proven work experience as an HR Administrative Assistant/Administrator (or
HR intern)
- Good understanding of HR functions and best practices
- Sound understanding of regulation and compliance
- Technologically astute - HRIS, industry standard HR software, Microsoft Office
- Written communication skills for correspondence, reports and HR content
- Results-focused and deadline-orientated
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

**Support the HR team to deliver the HR function**
- Work closely and in partnership with the HR Manager and HR Practitioner to provide effective process, practice and systems adhering to good governance at all times.
- Provide administrative support to all HR functions.
Operational and process effectiveness
**Provide an efficient and effective HR support service**
- Maintain efficient data/filing systems including both hard and digital copies of employees' records.
- Assist with start to end induction process.
- Assist with enhancing the performance management and incentive processes.
- Assist with recruitment i.e. setting-up interviews, completing reference checks, etc.
- Draft employment contracts and paperwork for HR policies and procedures.
- Prepare reports and presentations for internal communications.
- Prepare orientation for new employees by sharing onboarding packages and explaining company policies.
- Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events and maintain agendas.
- Coordinate HR projects, meetings, training initiatives, workshops and seminars.
- Update records of new staff.
