The **Head of Academy** (Associate Manager: Learning & Development) is responsible for driving a learning culture across the organization through developing and implementing a learning and development strategy that encapsulates the new age of experiential learning into all training and development.

In addition, this position will be responsible for leading the **BlueSky Learning Academy** in the delivery of competence and capacity building initiatives that will enable our talent to meet organizational and market ambitions.

**Key Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Manage a team of learning and development and technical training professionals in the implementation of competence and capacity building initiatives
- Deliver a learning and development and related academy strategy and implementation model that will drive organizational success and is aligned to innovative, revolutionary practices
- Coordinate the planning, development, promotion, delivery, evaluation and review of face-to-face and online courses and experiences programs
- Maintain and update existing online and facilitated course materials to align to changing business needs
- Oversee the delivery of face-to-face training interventions / workshops
- Designing, planning and executing learning and development and Academy processes (e.g., conduct interviews and screen calls, administer psychological tests, etc.).
- Setup the learning and development and Academy frameworks, tools methodologies and success measures
- Lead learning and development events and approach to talent development, e.g., connect sessions, national youth initiatives, partner / vendor programmes
- Take responsibility for all SDF activities and ensure alignment and integration with legislative bodies
- Manage the implementation of the full training cycle
- Preparing relevant performance and financial reports for the executive as required
- Implement models of continuous improvement and quality assurance

**Requirements**:
EXPERIENCE
- Prior experience as a Learning and Development Manager, or similar experience in a Learning and Development role
- Experience in designing and implementing bespoke training programmes
- Experience in project management and budgeting and profit and loss statements
- Experience in a start-up, lean and agile methodologies
- A degree in human resources management, business administration or a relevant field
- Registered with relevant professional bodies

QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE
- Working knowledge of full-cycle learning processes, compliance and learning standards and applicable human resources laws
- Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods and tools
- Familiarity with e-learning platforms and practices
- Adult learning, experiential learning and instructional design experience
- A proven track record in managing e-learning platforms and producing e-learning courses
