Our client, a well-known private healthcare group, is urgently looking for a **Professional/Registered Nurse** to fulfil the role of **Theatre Unit Manager**. This is a **permanent opportunity** **at in **Trichardt** in the **Mpumalanga**.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- 3 or 4-year Diploma or 4 year Degree in Nursing
- Postgraduate qualification in Operating Theatre Techniques
- Registered with SANC as a Professional Nurse
- A qualification in Nursing education qualification or/and Nursing management will serve as an advantage
- Relevant Management experience of at least 2-3 years
- At least 5 years professional nursing experience in a hospital
- Infection Prevention and Control and Clinical Facilitation
- Auditing and accreditation processes
- Clinical risk management
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
- Continuous improvement and quality assurance methodologies
- Financial management
- Healthcare industry
- Human resource processes including employee relations
- Management of staff productivity
- Nursing functional knowledge
- Patient complaint management
- Relevant nursing legislation

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB**

To lead a quality and safe patient care experience that meets the set clinical standards through the optimal management of human and organisational resources within a structured unit.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS**
- Ensure safe patient care by meeting set clinical quality standards according to company policies and procedures
- Manage and mitigate clinical risks in the unit
- Lead and manage the staff in the unit
- Manage the unit's operational and capital expenses according to financial and budget guidelines and ensure optimal utilisation of resources
- Manage and actively contribute to a positive patient experience in the hospital
- Support the achievement of interdepartmental outcomes
- Manage key stakeholder relations
