**PURPOSE OF THE JOB**:
**KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS**:

- Carry out Maintenance Assessments at both plants as planned.
- Identify shortcomings and put plans in place to resolve.
- Develop a 5-year maintenance capability building plan and develop an execution strategy.
- Develop readiness tool to move plants from Preventative to Predictive maintenance.
- Identify and implement Sustainable Cost Advantage (SCA) projects.
- Identify 4IR and IoT opportunities. Align opportunities with business initiatives.
- Implementation of global initiatives within the maintenance/engineering environment
- Ensure training of maintenance personnel takes place when new technology is introduced.

**EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Degree will be an added advantage).
- N5/N6 Technical Certificates.
- 5-8 years engineering/maintenance experience in a FMCG environment at supervisory level.
- Intentional technical research for technological advancement.
- Facilitation of Root Cause Analysis (RCAs) - Cause & Effect Matrix, FMEA, A3, 5Why.
- Proven familiarity with IoT and identification of usable opportunities.
- Good knowledge of MS Office
- Good knowledge of SAP
- Good knowledge of Equipment maintenance plan development tools/processes
- Good exposure to project management
- General knowledge of OHSA
- General knowledge of Quality, Safety and Environmental standards
