Depot Supervisor/fleet Controller

We are a fast-growing transport and logistics company seeking to employ an individual as a Depot Supervisor / Fleet Controller for our Delmas Depot.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage drivers’ shifts and performance.
- Manage depot staff.
- Manage fleet at the depot.
- Oversee workshop (maintenance, workshop, availability)
- Collect, reconcile and send POD’s to Head Office.
- Up keep and maintenance of depot and ensure health and safety requirements are adhered to.
- Liaison with Client.
- Ensure SLA adherence and daily
- Provide excellent communication to all clients and drivers.
- Ensure that all clients are contacted and kept updated with regards to progress and delivery changes.
- Keep your line manager updated at all times with regards to progress or delays with regards to any deliveries.
- Oversee and manage fleet vehicles.
- Be able to work out the cost per kilometre and rates for ad hoc work.
- Manage and schedule drivers’ loads.
- Ensure profitable route planning is established and adhered to.
- Oversee successful loading of goods at clients with all relevant paperwork.
- Debrief Paperwork (daily)
- Prepare, analyse and submit daily, weekly and monthly operational stats.
- Work with team of drivers to deliver operational efficiencies.
- Delivery of superior quality customer experiences within SLA
- Management of driver’s performance, i.e. weekly monitoring of their consumption per km, daily debrief and weekly reports indicating outliers.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Tertiary qualification Logistics or similar (minimum)
- Computer Literate (MS Office, Outlook)
- Excellent employee management and communication skills.
- 7 Years’ experience in transport environment. (minimum)
- Specific industry experience beneficial
- Experience in Route Planning and Scheduling (minimum requirement)

**Salary**: R25,000.00 - R30,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Delmas, Mpumalanga: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
