Senior Principal Technical Architect: ServiceNow is a people management role and is responsible for the efficient management of the IT Systems / Application Architecture Management team(s).

**Key** role and responsibilities**:

- Efficiently manage the function/team, ensuring they are equipped and enabled to perform their day-to-day tasks
- Directs the activities of a staff integrating hardware and/or software framework, systems and/or product design functions or designing underlying architecture for use in one or more product offerings. Evaluates final results of design assuring accomplishment of technical objectives.
- Prepares and presents reports outlining the outcome of projects and makes recommendations for actions necessary to achieve desired results.
- Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
- Keep abreast of any reviews and authorisation requests to move new functionality into production
- Oversee the translation of business change/enhancement requests from business users into detailed functional/technical analysis and design specifications, perform unit testing and conduct user acceptance testing before releasing functionality to production systems
- Collaborate with all the relevant stakeholders to ensure the functional specifications are signed off and kept up to date
- Oversee the continual identification of areas of business process improvement, drives and facilitates changes, and gains user consensus for change management
- Ensure a seamless integration of new and existing systems to eliminate potential problems and maintain data structure and integrity
- Keep abreast of latest technologies and provide thought-leadership to the team / broader community
- Oversee the improvement of internal effectiveness by contributing to improving current methodologies, processes, and tools
- Coach, mentor and develop the team to enable them to achieve business strategy and related objectives

**Knowledge, skills, and attributes**:

- Knowledge of the architectural methods and the typical solutions that can be applied to different cases
- Ability to think both as a businessperson and a technical expert
- Analytical in their approach couple with problem-solving ability
- Display the required interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with a variety of stakeholders
- Ability to lead and manage a team of technical experts
- Ability to share and communicate ideas clearly, both orally and in writing, to executive staff, business sponsors, and technical resources in clear concise language

**Academic qualifications and certifications**:

- Industry certification in programming languages and architecture design
- Scaled Agile certification would be preferred

**Required experience**:

- Hands-on experience in multiple industries and across several disciplines
- Experience with projects through the software development process or Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Demonstrated experience leading and managing a technical team within a similar team environment / global matrixed organisation
- Experience writing technical and process documentation
- Proficient in programming languages, such as SQL, Java, C, and.NET, etc
