This role will manage the implementation of showroom programmes in support of store development programmes. Responsible for the control of project costs and ensuring that hand-over dates and standards are met in the construction/refurbishment process. The role will also manage the liquidation stores. **Ensuring resource allocation is driven by the relative project priorities**:
- Implementing and managing changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved.
- Provide input, training and guidance in the establishment of Pre-Project proposals.
- Evaluate and alert on operational risk across Homechoice Showroom site and advise on mitigation interventions (timeframes and responsibilities).
- Present progress of tactical versus strategic plan including operational risk to Management and Executive on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Review planning to provide executives with assurance on the achievement of the tactical plan.
**Defining and communicating the vision and how this aligns to business strategy**:
- Supporting and coaching the project team to ensure deliverables are successfully produced.
- Working cross-functionally, both within the organisation and externally. This could include functions like: Finance, Operations, IT, Legal, Property, Commercial and supplier teams.
- Also, working with the project sponsor and reporting to governance groups to agree project deliverables and keep up to date.
**Team Collaboration**:
- Ongoing collaboration with counterparts and clients to ensure seamless project execution
**Project Management**:
- Management of showroom openings from beginning to end.
- Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop full-scale project plans and associated communication documents.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
- Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
- Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
- Determine and assess the need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitments if necessary, during the project cycle.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths.
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements, documentation, and presentations. Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.

**Research and analysis**:
- Keep abreast of new developments within the designated geographic scope to:
- 1) Conduct feasibility analysis and
- 2) Share insights (re. availability, measurements, capex) & commercial metrics in order for divisions to determine new store feasibility. This involves on-site investigations.
- Continuously monitor & track the completion of feasibility studies from divisions to ensure that it is coming through the pipeline.
- Use research & analytics to contribute to the annual strategic store review. work closely with external stakeholders and provide prompt feedback to line management
**Stakeholder Engagement & Negotiation**:
- Negotiate the contractual terms & conditions with landlords/centre management for new and existing store locations to meet budget considerations and business requirements (e.g. store expansions). This entails preparing the required offer documentation with the assistance of the legal team.
**Property Management**:
- Create & maintain long-term relationships with landlords/centre management for current & future store operations and to assist the divisions in case of any property management issues.
- Diploma or Degree Retail management/Project management or similar
- Valid drivers license
- Min 5 years of experience in:
- Business and operational planning.
- Knowledge and proven implementation of change management principles.
- Participation in developing a departmental budget and monitoring expenditures for multiple projects & funding
