**Job Summary**:

- Oversee timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations, and outages and managethe impact on local/cluster IT organization.
- Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations on local level.
- Manage third-party on-site support resources by communicating service expectations and appraising their servicelevel.
- Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures on a local/cluster level in alignment withglobal policies and procedures.
- Manage annual budget and ensure cost-effectiveness of IT processes.
- Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy.
- Ensure the security of data, network access and backup systems.
- Manage the local/cluster IT equipment within the practice lifecycle (such as PC’s).
- Coordinate and support MBCC internal IT procurement processes in tandem with local Procurement contact.

**Responsibilities**:

- Be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company’s/clusters information systems.
- Promptly address system-wide and individual PC operational problems and when required, closely manage contracted maintenance, keeps track of warranties and service agreements and renew or extend when necessary.
- Support to create, maintain and enforce policies and procedures regarding all computer usage throughout the company/cluster.
- Facilitate productive connections between local business and regional IT. Support the preparation, conduct and follow up of dialogs with the business, whenever appropriate to improve user satisfaction.
- Plan and conduct activities to increase the awareness within the local/cluster business regarding IT services and products, also including promoting data security awareness.
- Assist in the coordination of the necessary efforts in the support of local/cluster audit related activities.
- Support periodic reviews of service delivery to identify lapses in service delivery.
- Support the resolution of all service, incident and problem escalations arising in the country/cluster. Trigger appropriate actions, working closely with the respective teams to ensure timely communication, restoration and closure. Ensure that lapses in service delivery are captured and reported appropriately, escalating to the relevant hierarchies of the service delivery units whenever necessary.
- Support local Wide Area Network (WAN) and coordinate with Network provider to resolve any issues and provide support in any local network related rollout.
- Manage hardware and software requirements for all locally hosted servers.
- Manage physical access control and access control to non-IT information assets, also be informed about the technical requirements for access control defined in case of participation in the execution of information protection audits and when performing user awareness trainings.
- Help with regular reviews and analysis of Problem Management data to highlight causes of frequent or high impact failures and suggest preventative action. Identify and implement process improvement opportunities in the Support framework.
- Respond to stakeholders accurately and timely to facilitate their IT needs.
- Actively participate in IT projects by providing recommendations and timely execution of assigned tasks.
- Support to upkeep and maintain local IT Assets information.
- Support in managing MBCC Business Continuity Plan and perform periodic tests of IT hardware and infrastructure at Disaster Recovery site(s).

**Experience**:

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related fields.
- System certifications preferred (Cisco, Microsoft, ITIL).
- 5+ years of relevant Information Technology experience.
- Experience managing large, complex IT projects, preferred.
- South Africa driving license with knowledge of the roads.
- Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems.
- Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation. Knowledge of ERP and business process management software.
- Language requirements: English (fluent).
