**Your Role**:
An exciting opportunity has opened up with our company. We are looking to hire a Planner in Johannesburg, South Africa.

As a Planner, you will have the following responsibilities:
Demand planning, sourcing, and procurement of products from approved suppliers to fulfil customer/ market requirements and maintain high stock service levels

Ensures effective mode of transport

Responsible for direct procurement and Local Production of the EMSA portfolio

Primary liaison with supplier to ensure that customer needs are fulfilled

Effectively communicates with regards to stock availability, expected delivery date, reason for back orders and service level exceptions; actively expedites and updates latest expected delivery date to customers on SAP

Provides demand forecasts to the Global teams

Effectively manages the local production process through production planning, sourcing of the correct quality raw materials

Effectively manages suppliers to ensure adherence to the agreed service level and prices; monthly review and feedback to supplier regarding their performance; continual improvement in supply chain processes

Efficiently manages the financial aspects associated with stock inventory to ensure optimum investment in stock, cash-flow and minimum stock write-offs

Negotiation Skills: Preparing negotiation strategy with risk analysis and predicted outcomes

Actively involved in the review, update and correction of the master files (where applicable) on an ongoing basis to ensure an effective ERP system

**Who you are**:
Degree in a science related field
- Essential

Tertiary Qualification in Supply Chain
- Desirable

5 - 8 years' experience in Planning and procurement

Production experience will be desirable

Minimum of 5 years SAP experience is essential

High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
