Logistics Analyst

Purpose of the job
- Responsible for analysing and interpreting data as well as supplying logístical information to help in the development of cost-effective, efficient, timely, and high-quality logistics solutions. Often collaborates with the Transport Manager, Shipping Manager and other organizational stakeholders.

Required outputs: Functional
- Develop statistical and financial models, in addition to utilizing internal transport management system, to explore cost-cutting and efficiency options in the logistics process.
- Provide regular reports and statistics on certain aspects of the logistics process, such as supplier analysis and transportation costs.
- Ensure that logístical costs are analysed, monitored, and kept under control.
- Collaborate with Logistics and other relevant staff to handle issues as they arise.
- Collation of data from across the business
- Preparing monthly reports on operational and financial metrics.
- Comply with Safety, Health and Environment standards.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics
- 3-5 years previous experience in a logistics or supply chain analytical/ planner role.
- Sound understanding of supply chain models
- Advanced knowledge of SAP
- Awareness of Dangerous Goods Handling
- Advanced Excel user with the ability to analyse and manipulate data in Excel and provide meaningful information
