**Site Planner**:

- REQUISITION ID: 7783- LOCATION: Cape Town, ZA, 8001- DEPARTMENT: Project Management (Site Management / Erection / I**The site planner’s main job purpose is to**:

- Comply with the requirements contained in the health and safety plan and any other safety or environmental directive or regulation applicable to the project.
- Control project progress and performance at each stage, in addition to the production of weekly and daily construction progress curves, ensuring they are updated correctly.
- Prepare weekly construction plan based on Primavera P6 schedule and current status, analyze bottlenecks and limitations of the construction project and critical path.
- Assess and consequentially approve/rejection of extension of time based on claims received from contractors

**Key Responsibilities [Key Performance Areas]**
- Adapt the Level 4 Primavera P6 schedule for exact project conditions, starting 4 weeks before the start of the windfarm and based on the level 4 Primavera schedule provided by Programming Department.
- Ensure the availability of all the details needed to do the planning: kind of WTG, crane movements, assembly times for activities, crane crawling times, statistical weather forecast etc Information provided by Site Manager.
- Daily update of the schedule in Primavera P6, the main input for the assembly development must be Upvise. Evaluate programme for deviations to be escalated as per company process.
- Update the project and works schedule, gathering the information needed from each discipline and subcontractor, entering it into the Primavera P6 program, analysing, identifying and notifying any deviations to enable their prediction and correction, proposing priorities, future scenarios and action plans to recover from the delays.
- Determine the key dates, milestones and organize the project in Primavera P6 to control these dates, calculating the critical path and clearances, to ensure correct planning compliance. In case the schedule is not achieved report deviations.
- Produce monthly, weekly and daily reports about the development of the works and critical points, analysing deviations from the initial schedule, providing management with precise information regarding the status of the works.
- KPI reporting about effectiveness and efficiency
- Write material request reports and production orders in JDE/SAP, work orders review and issue. In case any material has to be served without material request report, the planner must request it to the warehouse of the windfarm.
- Request from the Site Manager that the information about the installation date is available on UPVISE appropriately and as often as required. Progress reporting (daily-weekly-monthly) via Upvise
- Elaboration of the weekly construction plan, 4 weeks ahead and 4 days ahead planning based on Primavera P6 considering all the different issues that may impact the schedule i.e., crane movement, slopes, weather conditions.
- Analysis of the construction bottleneck and constrains of the project and the critical path to keep the attention on the tasks that may delay the project.
- Wind risk analysis based on, statistical weather forecast, 2 weeks ahead weather forecast and real wind in planning and validation of wind delays by subcontractors.
- Specific planning for special tasks to be done, such as, material reworks, abnormal activities etc
- Propose improvements of existing processes of the department and contribute to the creation of new processes that may be useful for the company.
- Collate the necessary information for reporting and managing Quality and HSE NCRs and Incidents in UPVISE/Service Now or the prevailing software management tool

**Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications**
- Construction qualification i.e., Degree, Diploma, Certificate
- Minimum 5 years on site construction experience of which 3 years as a planner
- Considerable working experience in planning, especially in Primavera P6. Working experience in other fields is also a plus.
- Working in a matrix organisation of an international company is an advantage
- Managing subcontractors and leading meetings.
- Primavera P6 (compulsory), MS Office, Excel and ERP software.
- JDE and SAP experience
- Basis assembly process (Steel Tower & Concrete Tower) and relationships
- Extension of Time and Critical Path assessment
- Specific planning software (JDE, SAP, Primavera P6, Project, etc)
