**MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB**:
To keep the sites in 100% working order by attending to breakdowns and maintain lighting on site and keep all registers and legal documentation up to date.

**Minimum Education & Experience required**:

- Relevant Diploma or N6
- Qualified Electrician or Instrument technician - trade tested
- PLC, Scada systems and electrical experience
- Supervisory experience
- At least 5 Years’ experience in the same field

**Description of the Job**:

- Assist with electrical and mechanical breakdowns
- Supervise junior employees and external contractors while working on site
- Stand in for Maintenance Manager when not available
- Training of apprentices when the needs arise
- Oversee the performance of all maintenance daily work and assist where required
- Attend to emergency breakdowns
- Must be available for Call-Outs
- Plan and prioritise work through job card system
- General purpose fabrication and construction
- Ensure that maintenance of electrical and mechanical components is done timeously
- Perform instrumentation work
- Do fault finding on PLC and Scada systems
- Prepare CAPEXs
- Good receipt for delivered goods and rendered services
- Attend plant walk abouts with or without managements
- Perform random site inspections to confirm if artisans and contractors perform as required
- All reports required by Maintenance and Engineering Managers are submitted
- Provides support during internal and External audits
- Ensures that all artisans tool registers are up to date and filed on Engineering Drive
- Maintain HT equipment i.e. 11kv switchgear, power factor correction, transformers
- Maintain all deluge electrical systems
- Maintain all emergency generators
- Maintain hydraulic systems
- Pump maintenance
- Boiler maintenance
- Compressor maintenance
- Statutory electrical inspections
- Repair generators, boilers, pneumatic, compressors, pumps, condensers, valves, diesel engines
- Overhaul and test valves, mechanical pumps and relief valves
- Install mechanical seals
- Service electrical and instrument equipment
- Overtime is monitored and approved in advance
- Inspect pipeline and flexible hose (pipe conductivity testing)
- Install motors
- Work on both electrical, instrumentation and electrical system
- Commitment regarding daily/weekly planned maintenance check sheets
