- Reporting to Factory Manager- Position Objective:
- Ensuring that the quality of products meets required specifications
- Keeping of meticulous records relating to quality issues
- Ensuring smooth running of the quality management system
- Responsibilities:
- Controlling measuring equipment
- Performing visual & dimensional inspections: boring & milling machines
- Keeping calibration records
- Maintaining quality records
- Issuing & retrieving control documents
- Management System responsibilities
- Implementing corrective actions when required
- Giving quality reports to management
- Doing Goods receiving inspection
- Doing supplier performance reviews
- Doing final assembly inspections
- Ordering of consumables
- Checking traceability sheet for the product
- Reading plans & technical drawings, implementing changes, reviewing implementation
- Maintaining all drawings
- Dealing with Customer Complaints (Returns) in a satisfactory manner
- Maintaining departmental Health and Safety files
- Surveillance and traceability of products on the machines and assembly**Inherent Requirements**
- Matric or equivalent- Tertiary education: Accredited qualification related to Quality Control- Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ hands-on operational experience in quality control in an engineering / industrial environment- Computer literacy, with Excel on an intermediate level- Good Communication Skills- Good interpersonal skills, working with people of different cultures- Capable of and experience in reading engineering drawings and using measuring instruments, i.e. micrometer- Understanding of Company standard procedures, Process Maps and work instructions.- ISO Awareness- Reliability- Accuracy- Deadline driven**What Qualification**
- Matric + Quality Control qualification
