- Seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Manager - Area to oversee operations within a specific area of our manufacturing and engineering plant.
- The Plant Manager - Area will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.

**Responsibilities**:
**Operational Management**:

- Oversee day-to-day operations within the designated plant area.
- Ensure production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

**Team Leadership**:

- Lead and motivate a diverse team of operations, manufacturing, and engineering professionals.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and performance.

**Resource Management**:

- Manage resources effectively, including manpower, equipment, and materials.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure the availability of resources as needed.
- Implement efficient scheduling and resource allocation strategies.

**Process Optimization**:

- Proven ability to analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Experience implementing and sustaining continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or other relevant practices.

**Manufacturing and Engineering Expertise**:

- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, engineering principles, and industry best practices.
- Demonstrated understanding of machinery, equipment, and technology relevant to the manufacturing sector.

**Quality Assurance**:

- Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure product quality meets or exceeds standards.
- Identify areas for improvement in production processes to enhance product quality.

**Health and Safety**:

- Uphold and enforce safety protocols to create a secure working environment.
- Investigate and address safety concerns promptly, implementing corrective actions as needed.

**Continuous Improvement**:

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the designated area.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and productivity improvement.

**Communication and Reporting**:

- Communicate regularly with senior management on operational performance and key metrics.
- Prepare and present reports on area performance, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.**Inherent Requirements**

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in manufacturing and engineering management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and health and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to improve operational efficiency.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with implementing and sustaining continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a must
