Our client is looking to employ a Technical Sales Representative with mechanical experience and minimum 3 years sales experience dealing with project management companies and large distribution industries. If you enjoy traveling this would be the ideal position for you.

**Position details**:
Permanent
Manager

Technical sales specialist, focusing on sales of complex technical products. They typically target the distributors, end users, OEMs, and project management companies.

Extensive travelling - territories typically span many provinces with some customers in foreign countries.

Find potential customers, follow up on recommendations from current clients, read industry journals and search the internet.

Do market research and provide feedback.

Maintain and expand distributor network.

Meet with customers and technical staff to discover what they need.

Prepare and deliver presentations that propose solutions offered by the company.

Negotiate contracts/quotations/sales orders and arrange for delivery.

Periodically check up on customers to see how current installations are working and to offer additional services and products.

Develop and implement product training programs for customers/employees.

Periodically visit customers to access market size and factors influencing market.

Compile visit reports.

Quote customers, do order confirmations, deliver, and invoice customers on SAP Periodic (weekly) follow up on outstanding quotations.

Follow up and expedite outstanding customer orders, inform customers of delays.

Handling of customer complaints and resolving conflict.

Responsible for customer satisfaction surveys.

Provide annual sales and budget figures for all products and markets.

Develop and implement sales pricelists for key customers.

Build and maintain positive customer relationship with Top 20 key customers.

Contribute to online marketing activities.

**Location**: East Rand, Gauteng

**Job Qualifications, Skills & Experience**:
Degree/Diploma in Mech Eng with 3 years related work experience or trade (fitter and turner) with 5 years related work experience.
3 Years sales experience in transmission components/brakes/gearbox/materials handling.

Interpersonal relationship/ influencing/ presentation/ negotiation skills and technical competence.
