Workshop Foreman

**Job Purpose**:
BIdvest International Logistics seeks to employ a Workshop Technician who will ensure that operation is managed efficiently and that all KPI's are achieved. Have a customer orientated approach and ensure that continoues improvement is established
To ensure that all operations under your responsibility takes place according to with the BidvestIL Standard Operating Procedures Ensure that all areas and vehicles worked on are compliant with the client standard

**Qualifications & Experience**:
Senior certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent
Valid Code 08 Drivers License
Motor Bike license
Qualified Motor Technician (Red Seal)
±5 years in a Supervising position
±5 years in Automotive Manufacturing Industry experience
Vehicle Handling & Quality
Mechanical Workshop experience

**Key Responsibilities**:
Customer Satisfaction:
Ensure high levels of Customer Satisfaction
Quick response to Customer queries
Ensure all processes are in support of customer expectations and also focussed on minimising risk
Operations:
Anticipates problem areas and ensure that a contingency plan is in place
Source and introduce, where possible, 'best practice' into the facility to ensure a competitive advantage
Ensuring that service comebacks are minimize
Evaluation of returned vehicles for damages etc.
Ensure good Vehicle storage and handling governance according to standard
Reconditioning of approved used vehicles according to client standards, reporting any add on parts
Pre delivery inspections
Services and tow bar fitment
Fault finding and problem solving on vehicles for customers and Yard
Wheel alignment on vehicles
Campaigns and Delivery stop repairs
Warranty, motorplan and insurance repairs
Disassembly/assembly of trims, panels and parts
Quotation and arrangement of ordering for parts needed for customer vehicles
Ensure compliance to good hygiene and housekeeping disciplines within all areas under responsibility
Ensure only vehicles that have approval to be worked on is parked within the facility
Carry out general maintenance tasks at work shop
Ensure that fitment of tyres are according to the specified standards
Ensure that fitment of protection tyres are according to the specified standards
Ensure that balancing of tyres are according to the specified standards
Ensure that balancing of protection tyres are according to the specified standards
Ensure puncture repair is according to the specified standards
Ensure that rims received are in a proper condition
Facilitation & processing of insurance claims in liaison with Service Advisor
Facilitation of repairs to be done on customer vehicles which includes ordering of parts through P&A and booking the repair date
Clocking of Job Cards on SAP
Ensure that regular blue area meetings are held with staff to manage output and expectations
Encourage continuous improvement of service
Ensure that all quality objectives are measured and met
Manage the effective servicing & maintenance of all equipment within department
Ensure compliance to good hygiene and housekeeping disciplines within all areas under responsibilities
Ensure that the department aligns itself to the BidvestIL corporate framework and that all signage and uniforms uphold the image of BidvestIL
Monitor and maintain discipline in all areas of responsibility
Scheduling and prioritising of activities
Ensure only vehicles that have approval to be worked on is parked within the facility
Ensure that all internal projects are achieved
KPI's & Reporting:
Daily, Weekly and Monthly measurement and reporting of KPI Achievement
Ensure on time submission and accuracy of daily/weekly / monthly management reports
Ensure that all KPI's are achieved
Ensure that all quality objectives are met
Identification and Management of KPI's for the operation and ensure that they are known and understood by all staff
