**Junior E-mobility Technician**:
**Position overview**:
The main function of the Junior E-mobility Technician is to assist the Rubicon E-mobility team in attending to all day-to-day technical matters within the region (and nationally when required), both internal and external, and ensure that all technical support tickets are serviced and closed. The ultimate aim is to ensure adequate technical skills, with the right attitude and aptitude, are available within the branch to ensure that our customers and clients are impressed by our overall E-mobility service.

**Detailed responsibilities**:
Daily functions of the Junior E-mobility Technician include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Attend to internal and external technical support requests by:

- Phone
- Any other means (eg: Instant messages etc)
- Attend sites in local, national and possibly international locations to:

- Assist with initial site assessments.
- Assist with installation and commissioning of new charging stations.
- Assist with repairs of equipment and components.
- Assist sales personnel with technical enquiries around our products and systems.
- Assist in system design.
- Assist with electrical specifications and designs.
- Assist with network specifications and designs.
- Assist in trouble shooting faulty equipment.
- Assist in diagnosis of faulty equipment.
- Trouble shoot any other E-mobility-related issues.
- Assist with project proposals and project implementation.
- Diagnose warranty claims.
- Liaise with factories and suppliers on technical issues.
- Help create technical documentation for new products.
- Regularly attend supplier training

- Work closely with the other E-mobility staff around the country:

- Collaborate on improving systems.
- Help resolve issues in other areas where skills can be shared for common good.
- Investigate and document potential serial issues.
- Assist with product specification and development when necessary.
- Meet regularly to discuss technical and project issues.

Other responsibilities:
You may occasionally be required to carry out other tasks not outlined above on an ad-hoc basis, to achieve the necessary levels of customer service. This may include but is not limited to various sales related functions, managing customers when a rep is absent, resolving telephone queries and so on.

Should the company introduce new methods of working and/or new technology you will be required to co-operate with these changes, adapting to new methods of working and/or technology and undergo training as the company directs.

**Role Requirements**:
Matric/NQF4 level qualification minimum

**One or more of the following**:

- Electrical qualification or similar
- Electronics qualification or similar
- Other relevant diploma (eg: telecommunications, IoT, etc.)

**Experience in one or more of the following**:

- Electrical or electronics design, implementation, construction or similar
- Technology design and/or support
- Telecommunications networks
- Previous Technical Support roles
- PC literacy - highly PC literate and comfortable with basic technical aspects of common operating systems with excellent Microsoft Office skills
- Electrical competency - electrical-field related qualification or similar with an understanding of the various components and aspects of electrical/electronic systems
- Technology - must be highly technological and have a good understanding of how technological systems and components, and how they work and interacts. Knowledge and experience with telecommunications networks or IoT (Internet-of-Things) is beneficial.

Must have own vehicle and valid driver's licence.

Be able and willing to travel occasionally, locally and possibly internationally.

**Reporting**:
You will report to the Head of Engineering for E-mobility and, in his absence, to the National Project Manager for E-mobility.
