- An opportunity exists for a nearly/newly qualified actuary within the Group Corporate Actuarial team that focuses on actuarial valuations, reporting and consolidation of the Momentum Group Africa employee benefits business.**Disclaimer**

- The individual will be responsible for the review, analysis and consolidation of actuarial valuations, assets, liabilities, analysis of surplus, budgets, cash flow projections and sensitivities for IFRS, SAM and Embedded Value reporting.**Requirements**:
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor degree in Actuarial Science or equivalent required
- Nearly / newly qualified actuary with good progress in completing normative skills to become a Fellow

**Experience**
- +/- 5 years relevant experience in an actuarial valuations and/or reporting role

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Consolidation of quarterly valuation results, including the review and analysis of key reporting metrics under IFRS, SAM and EV bases
- Review and analyse liability calculations and embedded value calculations to ensure that parameters used are accurate and results are reasonable
- Analysis of profits to assist management to manage the book of business appropriately
- Resolution of valuation issues with support from business as required
- Assist with periodic experience investigations and sensitivity testing
- Assume a product owner role for products allocated to ensure results are reasonable from a “statutory actuary” perspective
- Assist to identify and implement process improvement in the valuation team
- Ensure compliance with Group practices and timelines
