Role Purpose

An exciting opportunity exists for an actuarial student within the Corporate Actuarial team that focuses on the Momentum Corporate Product Range relating to the Africa Business. The individual will be responsible for quarterly valuations relating to the full product range - Group Risk, Annuities and Investments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial or Business Sciences.
- Good progress with the A100 and A200 series (CT series) exams.
- Two to three years' working experience would be ideal
- A good working knowledge of the MS-Office packages, specifically Excel and Word
- Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities will be a distinct advantage
- An understanding of the product range will also be an advantage.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Preparing and analyzing input data
- Quarterly profit reporting as well as preparing the relevant statutory reporting information
- Quarterly Embedded Value and Value of New Business calculations
- Detailed analysis of the results to assist management to manage the book of business pro-actively
- Calculation of the capital requirements relating to the product range
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing the necessary changes after collaboration with all stakeholders
- Assisting with implementing the IFRS17 requirements relating to the product range
