Creditors Clerk

**Primary Purpose**
The successful incumbent needs to ensure that creditor payments and reconciliations are processed in line with internal policies and procedures.
**Minimum Requirements**
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION AND TRAINING
- Matric
- Accounting diploma advantageous
REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE
- 1-year previous experiencing Creditors
**Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to**:
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
Daily creditors recons and payments
- Perform creditor reconciliations of supplier statements to the creditors ledger. Load relevant payments and ensure remittances are captured & allocated correctly on the system in the supplier account
- Attend to all creditor and/or Recon queries
- Monitor age analysis & monthly payment history to ensure supplier accounts are correct and up to date
- Ensure Supplier and Supplier banking Details are up to date on system (Great Plains and Fleetactiv)
- Process creditor journals to supplier account where applicable, and raise monthly supplier accruals where applicable
- Change in banking detail requests from suppliers to be controlled in line with the Bidvest Group minimum EFT standards
CUSTOMER CENTRICITY
Supplier service and internal Bank departmental relationships
- Interprets business/supplier requirements to provide timeous solutions
- Responsiveness: Speed of responses, reaction time, going the extra mile, turnaround time
- Deal with internal queries and assist other Departments & branches with Creditor processes and procedures
- Maintain relationships with all relevant stakeholders
- Liaise with and assist internal and external auditors where required
OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE
Reconciling items and payments
- Outstanding reconciling items should not to be older than 60 days (Items older needs to be escalated to supervisors)
- No Duplicate payments, no late payments, no incorrect baking details
STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT
Reporting
- Timeous reporting of deliverables
