Vts Manager

**THE POSITION**:
We are hiring a VTS Manager who will be responsible for strategic development, execution and management of the VTS team in South Africa. The VTS manager will work with the Business Unit Head Avian in delivering identified VTS needs to South Africa.

**Tasks & Responsibilities**:

- Manage local VTS Specialists to achieve VTS objectives.
- Provision of professional VTS support to key accounts in Southern Africa.
- Active participation in seminars / avian meetings / key account visits to support the BI avian portfolio.
- Regularly update Business Unit Head SA of progress / challenges encountered.
- Work with allocated resources to deliver optimum support / equipment utilisation with key accounts in South Africa.
- Strategic use of resources to aid in the growth of the BI Avian portfolio.
- Manage country equipment inventory.
- Ensure accurate forecasting and effective utilisation of equipment needs.
- Develop and provide innovative solutions to ensure effective and efficient vaccine delivery of BI Avian vaccines across all forms of avian production.
- Aid in the identification and development of new technologies that improve the delivery of vaccines.
- Leverage current system and processes and work on improving existing technologies
- Knowledge transfer and training of customer/ key account personnel.
- Arrange and execute customer training meetings.
- Tailor meetings by business need / customer requirements.
- Work closely with the Business Unit Head SA to ensure aligned with wider business objectives / latest developments.
- Co-ordinate with VTS specialists to ensure effective and efficient support based upon business priorities.
- Facilitate and aid in the delivery of training on the safe handling of BI vaccination equipment to distributor teams and end users.
- Monitor and be aware of competitor VTS activities and challenges in South Africa.
- Anticipate new challenges and opportunities.
- Creation of mitigation plans to stay ahead of competitor challenges.
- Monthly to bimonthly calls to provide / receive feedback from META VTS colleagues.
- Work closely with Business Unit Head SA and Avian BSH META to facilitate the effective implementation of in-ovo technology into key accounts in the cluster / country of responsibility.
- Identify key accounts suitable for in-ovo technology.
- Contribute to the creation of business plans to support the implementation of in-ovo opportunities into identified key accounts. Manage and support the BI in-ovo specialists in the execution of their role.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelors degree or Diploma in Business
- Minimum of 3 years working in the avian industry or similar industry (Human Health)
- Ability to work in a VUCA environment
- Excellent understanding of vaccination technologies and implementation of them in the field
- Fluent written and spoken English. Other languages are desirable depending on location of the position
- Ability and willingness to travel (can be 60%+)
- Be aware of the importance to work to high ethical standards and compliance within both local and regional rules and acting accordingly
- Strong AAI attributes (Accountability, Agility & Entrepreneurship)
- Ability to work from 'boots to board' level directly with customers in a diverse and constantly changing environment
- Ability to work with distributors and their respective teams
- Skill to influence and lead without authority People Management experience will be advantageous
