Virginia Tech is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team. As an Administrative Assistant at Virginia Tech, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support to our department, faculty, and staff. Key Responsibilities:

- Create and manage departmental documents and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Organize and maintain physical and electronic files, including confidential information.
- Assist with the planning and coordination of departmental events and meetings.
- Prepare and distribute reports, memos, and other documents as needed.
- Maintain inventory and order office supplies as needed.
- Act as a liaison between department members and external stakeholders, including students, faculty, and other university departments.
- Process expense reports and manage budget tracking.
- Provide administrative support for departmental projects and initiatives.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required, Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in an administrative or office support role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment.
- Friendly and professional demeanor with a strong customer service focus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
