Department University of Venda -> Vice Chancellor and Principal -> Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Research & Postgraduate Studies -> Directorate of Community Engagement, Entrepreneurship, Inclusive Innovation and Commercialization Job Title CENTRE MANAGER (D22) Post Level Grade 6 Job Type Support - Univen Funded Closing Date 14/11/2025 Job Requirements - A minimum of an Honours degree or equivalent qualification is required. - A relevant Master's degree, postgraduate qualifications, or completion of short courses will be considered an added advantage. - At least 7 years of experience in enterprise development, innovation and development **Duties**: - Develop and present business plans, implementation strategies, and funding proposals. - Oversee the day-to-day operations of the centre, ensuring alignment with institutional policies, compliance standards, and reporting requirements. - Collaborate with faculties and internal divisions to support the university’s vision of becoming an entrepreneurial institution. - Compile and submit technical reports and means of verification to the Small Enterprise Development Finance Agency (SEFDA), ensuring all key performance indicators (KPIs) for the incubator are met. - Act as the secretary for the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Rapid Incubation (UCfERI) governance committee. - Provide coaching, mentoring, and advisory support to students, staff, and community-based entrepreneurs. - Lead and manage the UCfERI team effectively. - Evaluate and report on the impact of the centre’s initiatives and activities. - Foster and maintain sustainable partnerships with internal stakeholders, industry, and SMMEs. - Ensure alignment with the integrated ecosystem approach of the Directorate of Community Engagement, Entrepreneurship, Inclusive Innovation and Commercialisation.
