Medical Aid rate based on principal member only) - To be confirmed - Advert Closing Date - 14/9/2025 - Job Purpose To support the faculty and department in pursuit of its academic and research objectives which include to: teach according to a set syllabus; undertake research and innovation; contribute to curriculum development and design; engage in work integrated learning and service learning activities. - Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience **Minimum Requirements: Lecturer** - A Master's Degree in Design or Business Administration with an underpinning qualification in one of these fields: Product Design, Visual Communication Design, Jewellery Design or Fashion Design. - At least two (2) years' relevant lecturing experience in Higher Education - Knowledge of and experience in Business administration within a design industry context **Recommendations** - At least two (2) years’ business administration experience within a design company or own design business venture **Minimum Requirements: Junior Lecturer** - A BTech/Honours Degree or equivalent in Design or Business Administration with an underpinning qualification in one of these fields: Product Design, Visual Communication Design, Jewellery Design or Fashion Design - Eligible to register for or already registered for a Master’s Degree in Design or Business Administration - Knowledge of and experience in Business administration within a design industry context **Recommendations** - At least one (1) year’s lecturing experience in Higher Education - At least one (1) years’ Business Administration experience within a design company or own design business venture - Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities - Participate in curriculum development - Perform appropriate academic and administrative duties in the Department - Participate in the Quality Assurance activities of the Department - Participate in research - Contribute to community initiatives by integrating community interventions into curriculum. - Develop and maintain linkages with industry and professional bodies on co-operative education, new techniques/technologies, and research projects - Assist with marketing and recruitment activities (incl.
